On the morning of July 29, the "Double-Hundred Project", which is a bridge of one hundred technical experts from Zhejiang University and one hundred technical companies from Yuhang District, started in Linping.33 experts and professors from relevant departments of Zhejiang University established a relationship with 33 technical enterprises from Yuhang District, and were recruited as the first experts of "Double-Hundred Project". Xiaodong Zou, deputy party secretary of Zhejiang University, presented the expert representatives letters of appointment and awarded “Yuhang Cooperation Center of Zhejiang University”.

In November 2010, Zhejiang University and Yuhang District signed a school-district strategic cooperation framework agreement. Both sides would establish a long-term, stable, and in-depth strategic cooperative relationship in talent, technology, medicine and other areas, and have achieved success in the construction of "Professor Village", Medical Center, Linping platform of second affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University school of medicine, and cooperation in talent exchange and technology services.

"Double-Hundred Project" is an important step to deepen school-district strategic cooperation.100 technical experts majoring in equipment manufacturing, electromechanical engineering, chemical industry, biological engineering and agro-processing from Zhejiang University will be hired to corporate with 100 high-tech enterprises and technical developing companies. Experts and professors will work for the enterprise in a flexible way in winter and summer vacations or monthly, focusing on restructuring and upgrading, research cooperation, helping companies to be listed, promoting the internationalization and so on.

"The implementation of ’Double-Hundred Project’ will be a strong scientific and technological intelligence engine to accelerate restructuring and upgrading of enterprises in Yuhang District and the development of high-tech industry." Weiyi Shou, Deputy Chief of Yuhang District, said that the lack of talent and technology was the outstanding bottleneck restricting economic development of Yuhang. Experts and professors of Zhejiang University and their resources are an important force for companies to achieve more factors in talent and technology and win a dominant position when competing in the market. "We hope to engage an expert, make a group of friends, and establish a think-tank team for the enterprise."

Xiaodong Zou made specific requirements on the implementation of "Double-Hundred Project" activities. He hoped that the experts and professors of Zhejiang University could perform their duties seriously, do in-depth research, master the technical needs of enterprises, conduct technical guidance, play a role of think-tank and promote related power in school to provide technical and management support for restructuring and development of enterprises. At the same time, they should actively help Yuhang enterprises to introduce foreign advanced technology and high-level personnel, to promote the organic integration of technology, capital, personnel and other innovative elements. The two sides should go further in exploring an effective working mechanism to strengthen and deepen cooperation.
