University of Alberta introduced CSC PhD Scholarship project in Zhejiang University

On the afternoon of Oct. 18th, Prof. Carl Amrhein, Vice-president of University of Alberta, Prof. Mazi Shirvani, Dean of Graduate School, Prof. Gordon Houlden, Dean of Chinese culture and PhD Cen Huang, Director of international enrollment office introduced the University of Alberta-CSC PhD Scholarship project to our students.
University of Alberta has ten-year-old cooperation with Zhejiang University. The University of Alberta (U of A) is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1908 by Alexander Cameron Rutherford, the first premier of Alberta and Henry Marshall Tory, its first president, it is widely recognized as one of the top universities in Canada. The main campus covers 50 city blocks with over 90 buildings directly across the North Saskatchewan River from downtown Edmonton.
University of Alberta is willing to accept several applicants with the scholarship under the State Scholarship Fund of the China Scholarship Council for Doctor Degree. The delegation showed the application process, language requirements and sponsorships in details. 23 University professors have won more 3M Teaching Fellowships (Canada's top award for undergraduate teaching excellence) than any other Canadian university. University of Alberta has reputation in (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Physics and Psychology. The attendants were full of the hall and the meeting became white-hot when the Q&A came. The whole exchange lasted for almost 2 hours.
