From Nov.23^rd to 24^th the Asian Doctor Innovation Conference (ADIC2009) hosted by PhD Union of Zhejiang University was held in the international conference center of National Science and Technology Park of Zhejiang University. There were more than 50 professors and PhDs from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Israeli, Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attending the meeting. They made oral or poster presentations about the machinery, energy, chemical industry, electricity, electronics, material, architecture and astronavigation during the conference.

Vice President Maode Lai attended the opening ceremony and introduced the history, the circumstances and the vision of Zhejiang University to the attendants. He delivered a speech about the importance of the sustainable development in the modern industrial civilization and hoped the scientists contribute to ecological civilization and harmonious world with their talents. The young PhDs as the fresh research troops in the future should be the major force to impel the scientific and technological progress.
